Marian’s role with InnoTech Alberta includes developing collaborations between government, industry, and the academic and research community to support innovations in environmental management in the public and private sector. These innovations include policies and decision support tools to assess and manage natural capital and ecosystem services. Marian’s research is focused on the development of ecosystem service markets including biodiversity offsets, tradable disturbance rights, transferable development credits, and water quality and quantity trading.
Marian L Weber is a Global Fellow in the Global Fellows and Clean Innovation Research Program and a Research Partner in the The Economics & Environmental Policy Research Network project.
