Gabriel De Roche is a PhD student in the Department of Political Science at the University of California, San Diego, studying the migration effects of climate change. His current projects include cross-national public opinion and experimental methods to measure public preferences on accommodating climate-displaced people. Originally from Toronto, Canada, he worked for ten years in electoral politics and as an advisor to Cabinet ministers in the Ontario government before beginning his PhD studies. His research is funded in part by the National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program and the US Immigration Policy Center.
