Miguel Sioui is an Assistant Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University, and a member of the Huron-Wendat First Nation. His research focuses on Indigenous land-based knowledges and environmental stewardship across the Americas, and aims to foster meaningful inter-cultural dialogue and collaboration. Miguel is committed to the Indigenization of mainstream environmental management approaches, as he believes that this process is more likely to promote responsible and respectful relationships with the environment over the long term.
