Anik Islam is a Research Associate at Smart Prosperity Institute. His work focuses on analyzing the economic implications of clean growth policies on the pathway to a ‘net-zero’ Canadian economy. He has over three years of research and consulting experience in conventional and renewable energy, environmental and social impact analysis, natural resource pricing and management and project financing. Prior to SPI, he worked at an international consulting firm based in Dhaka, Bangladesh which provided policy and business case solutions to the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, International Finance Corporation, Japan International Cooperation Agency and large business conglomerates. Anik holds a M.A. in Economics from the University of Ottawa and a M.Sc. in Finance from Queen Mary University of London.
